Bar-B-Que Sauce and ribs
From the Kitchen of Michael Murphy
1 cup catsup
¼ cup hot sauce
1 cup water
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp garlic powder or minced fresh garlic
2 tsp lemon juice
¼ cup mustard
1 tsp onion powder or 1 small fresh minced onion
2 tbsp instant meat tenderizer (MSG) – Optional
1 slab of pork or beef ribs
Boil ribs for 20 minutes, or until tender, in just enough water to cover them.
Slather the sauce all over your slab.
Say that seven times fast. Giggle. These are the good omens etc.
Place ribs on broiling rack and broil or bake until sauce starts to caramelize or looks done.
Alternatively, cook ribs on a medium hot BBQ grill turning once when side is done.
